  • Research Information
  • Theme :
    1. Modeling of tsunami fragility in a city scale
  • Goals  :
    1. To understand behavior and resulting force of tsunami by using physical and numerical models;
    2. To design and handle the new tsunami experiments that can generate arbitrary tsunami waves;
    3. To develop better tsunami simulation models;
    4. To assess structural damages due to the tsunami force;
    5. To obtain tsunami fragility formulas considering interactions between tsunami hydrodynamic processes and structures in a city scale;
    6. To develop the effective and reliable assessment tool for the tsunami mitigation in a coastal urban cities by using a model that can simulate arbitrary tsunami wave and revise tsunami simulation models.
