The Coastal Disaster Risk Laboratory conducts research in coastal and ocean engineering, particularly in the assessment of storm waves, storm surges, and tsunami hazards.

We are working on a long-term risk assessment of coastal mega disasters considering climate change. We also research nature-based solutions, especially mangrove forests, for coastal protection.
